TekTrakker is the brainchild of founders Gay Gordon-Byrne and Susan M. Gaines, both seasoned veterans of the IT sales and leasing business. In their work with large end users, both knew that an external measurement of reliability, such as with "Consumer Reports", was badly needed. Over the period of several years, they experimented with various approaches and brought TekTrakker to life in January of 2009.

Development is led by H.Weintraub Associates (www.hweintraub.com) , legal support is by Graham-Curtin  (www.grahamcurtin.com), hosting and backup support is by Verio (www.verio.com). TekTrakker is marketed both directly and indirectly through a network of professional consultants, services organizations, trade associations, and individual agents.

Reliability and Technology Specific CV

Gay began her IT career doing econometric modelling for the UC Chapel Hill Economics Department. The experience stimulated a lifetime scepticism of surveys due to painful experience with garbage data.  This early work also gave her experience in systems design which led to work as a systems engineer and later systems software sales and management.  Her early training with SDI included highly technical work as the products were tied closely to the operating system and were developed and serviced in machine code. 

In addition to her highly successful career in sales and sales management, Gay was consistently selected to work on development teams for several systems developed specifically for El Camino and Relational Funding including asset management systems, order entry systems, and CRM systems. She was routinely tapped as a speaker at client seminars and training sessions. This combination of technical and practical experience has provided the solid conceptual backing behind TekTrakker.
